I take a relaxed and informal approach to teaching children and adults, from beginners to intermediate/advanced, tailoring the lessons to suit the specific interestes of the individual. Coming from a classical background I know that a sound technique is the key to playing well in all styles, but it is important to be playing music you like!

I studied classical piano up to and beyond grade 8. Despite taking a degree in law from Oxford University, I found the pull of music irressistable and following several years' playing in piano bars in London's West End I am now enjoying Brighton's thriving music scene. Current engagements include the Grand Hotel, the Regency Tavern, The Aqaurium Theatre Bar and the Bedford Tavern. I also work with commercial production companies and commericial choral societies, directing music.
