Most important of all, I'm friendly, patient and I genuinely enjoy teaching and helping my rock/pop/jazz piano students realize their musical potential.

Sometimes my students are in their 20s or 30s, and lost interest in piano from their early teens onwards.
I also act as a consultant for music industry clients such as name singer-songwriters, DJs and producers.
I've performed extensively at such well-known venues as the Jazz Cafe and the Mean Fiddler in London.

I use a hands-on, fun and practical approach.

I have been a music technology lecturer for 13 years and have played piano for 28 years, gigging, performing and composing.

I'm Grade 8 piano/clarinet, have a BA(Hons) and MA in music and performance related fields. I've composed music for adverts, short films and the theatre.

I also offer the option of teaching music technology, instructing on software packages such as Cubase, Logic Audio, Pro Tools, Wavelab, Sound Forge etc. I have a mixer, sound modules and extensive music software for the project recording studio on which I teach and help music industry clients develop projects.

I am also a founding member of an off-West End theatre company and have composed extensively for the stage, so also have much experience working with theatre musicians and singers.

I generally teach at my home in Crouch End, North London, or occasionally travel to the student's house around the Finchley, Muswell Hill, Hampstead, Camden and Islington areas.
