Swamped with Spammers

These spammers are tricky. They aren't spambots, they are manual spambots, real life human beings. In my experience they are from Indonesia and are no doubt paid about £2 per day to register on forums all day long posting links.

Very little defence against human beings unless we make all new users go into new user group and their post are placed in a moderator list and after x amount of post they move out but that's a lot of work.

Some of the bots are clever I have just changed the GD image again that may slow the robots down but they are like the Borg they assimilate and re-adapt.

More like 0.50 usd a day

Barrie,

I just went through the Piano Lounge and Digital Pianos Forums and cleaned out any recent spam (since I left). Not a huge amount really. Gill has been keeping on top of things.
