Sadly it gets worse. We have now dumped an Erard grand on top.
It arrived as a scrapper with no legs so it had to go. We kept it for 6 months wondering what to do with it but nobody was interested in having it, not even for free. So it had to go.

Ikea flatpack pianos ........... Screwdriver .... bit of glue .... and an allen key . Ikea-Goodwin flatpacks, has quite a nice ring about it !! 
p.s. Did the Erard grand have a stupid little top prop in the bass end music desk guide ?

might have been handy though to allow the rainwater to run off it!!!!!
There could be an art in this. When I visited Piano Logistics last year, they had a row of pianos outside.... one in particular, every piece of celluloid curled off the keys, forming an interesting pattern - like a water lily!!
