Hi everyone,

I wondered if anyone had an opinion about the best place to go shopping for a new stage piano up in the north of england. I'm looking for a high quality, no bells-and-whistles instrument - i.e. drumbeats, etc. are not important - I'm really after is an instrument that sounds and feels as much like a piano as possible. I've got about £1200-1500 to spend and wanted to get a feel for a few different models but it's been a while since I've done this so I wondered where are the best places to go now.

Any opinion much appreciated.

Thanks
Nick

Hi!

First off, I'm not from England so I can't specify a local branch but given that fact that the forum has been rather quiet for the last month or so, I'm throwing in my penny's worth to get you started.

The only northern music supplier I know of is called Northern Music which is based in Yorkshire - again, not sure if that is north enough for you!

They do have a website: http://www.northernmusiconline.co.uk/

Hi Dizzy.

Darlington http://www.darlingtonmusic.co.uk/
Northallerton Greensleeves Music Northallerton North Yorkshire 01609 780253

You could also try looking at manufacturer's websites to see if they have a list of dealers. For example, you can search for yamaha dealers by location http://www.yamaha-shops.co.uk/
