Good luck Anna and Stuart for today.

You'll both be coming out with your distinctions - I'm quite sure of it!

sorry meant dan Sarf lol...

Yeah Britney gave me a mock, was recorded and just as is to get best effect. think i posted before scored 130+ and screwed my scales totally.. Was hoping for 134ish in this one as was very reliant on 80-84 points for my 3 pieces which i doubt ill get now.
thought my scales, chromatic scales & arpeggios today were better than mock..
We will wait n see, all depends how kind she is :)

One thing i will say to you guys is, these gradings although i expect have always worked should maybe based on part course work like GCSE's For me, i have no intentions of ever playing in concert or on stage or in front of anyone, its purely for my own worth, i want to know how good/bad i am.

The problem is i cant play in front of people, live, recorded or in an exam, Its not a true picture of what i can do, If someone put a secret camera on my Piano and watched ( not gloating) but i & my teacher feel i could be touching 140's in grade 1 & 2..

I just dont feel one should be graded with the pressure of a performance examination, all enthesis on one shot.
Football leagues are based on one game amongst a lot of things.
Teachers should be doign recordings and sendign them in for your pieces, ok it would be possible to pay back handers to get better grades but whats the point in that?..

Yeah but the problem is that there is a separate grade for practical and a separate one for theory and neither crosses over into the other section.
