Re Homing A Concert Grand Piano ?Hello this thread is pretty much about what the title says ..
I am in the process of looking for a Large Concert Grand, I would prefer Black but beggers cant be chosers..This is quite genuine please read on. I know its a long shot but maybe somone has one that they DON'T want to part with permanently or sell but need to re home it for awhile, possibly while they travel or are looking for a new home in which to accomodate their beloved piano. Maybe they are downsizing and want to consider what to do before permanently parting with it i.e selling it. I hope I can provide the temporary possible solution. We maybe able to come up with a purchase should the Piano prove itself. I am not a Pianist but an Oboist and need a Piano for my large music studio within my house and would prefer a Concert Grand 9ft plus for my professional accompanist. The Piano does need to be in very playable condition (no train wrecks please). I can supply professional referees to attest that the Piano would be well cared for (and insured with New Moon) Instrument Insurance, formerly the team from British reserve subject to an independant valuation from a respected Piano Technician. My studio which is about 70m2 has a very high ceiling of about 17ft so can easily accomodate a Piano of a Concert Grands dimensions both physically and sound wise and my accompanist prefers,as do I, a large and full size Grand Piano. I have posted an Ad in the Pianos for sale section as well but as a WANTED Ad but if anyone here knows of somone facing the quandry of not knowing what to do with their Piano, maybe they dont want to sell but need it re homing for awhile please point them in this direction.. I know its a long shot, honestly I do, but I have just finished building the house and whilst I would dearly love to walk into Bluthner with my Cheque book, my bank manager would have appeplexy given my recent spendings, plus Oboes dont come cheap either I assure you. I am located in Hampshire and London but the Piano would be in my Hampshire Studio, nice and safe and sound in the country. It would of course be insured seperately from the general household contents insurance and copies of the insurance could be held by a third party i.e Solicitors. Well I think that covers it, hopefully somone will see this..and we can help eachother out. Kindest regards Andrew Thompson
