Carpet cleaning moving piano

Post by planete » 11 Oct 2011, 20:08

I am having my carpets professionally cleaned, are there any risks to my upright piano? If there are can I do anything to make sure the piano (3 year old Kemble) does not suffer? Tuning is due in the next couple of weeks so any effect on the tuning can be put right then.

They may ask you to move the piano out of the room - the humidity of the room will go up and put the piano out but as you say your tuner is coming soon

Domestic help have a habit of banging the corners of pianos and if its Polyester it will chip its one of my most common Polyester repairs

Hey guys,

I am suggesting you some tips about carpet cleaning this will help you definitely.

Vacuum regularly

To ensure your cover, vacuum entrance zones and high-movement regions two times per week and whatever remains of the covering at any rate week by week. Slick soils pull in sleek soils, and incessant vacuuming will decrease soil development.

Begin with a spotless pack or channel

A grimy sack, earth glass or channel can slice a vacuum's suction shut down the middle. The principle reason bagless vacuums quit working is that the channels aren't changed frequently enough. Supplant or wash (if conceivable) the channels on bagless vacuums at regular intervals. Supplant vacuum sacks when they're seventy-five percent full.

Vacuum at the correct speed

Vacuum gradually enough to get out however much earth as could reasonably be expected. Make one speedy ignore low-activity territories and two moderate disregards high-movement zones. Two moderate passes evacuate ground-in soil more viable than a few quick passes.

Utilize stroll off mats

Utilize stroll off mats all around to keep earth off the covering. Coarse-finished tangles outside your entryways expel soil and will influence a how to clean cover to extend simpler. Water-retentive tangles inside avert wet shoes on the covering.
