New piano of three-year old???

The internet has caused a lot of problems for dealers as serial numbers are now accessible to most users, manufactures became aware of this problem a few years ago and most manufactures removed the latest numbers off their websites and now have a 5 to 10 year gap, because pianos can be in show rooms for a few years before they are sold.

I know of a knight piano that has been sitting in a showroom for 3 years + Dealers don’t like pianos sitting around for too long as it is not to good for cash flow but they have to take a certain number to get a franchise and that will include pianos they will find had to shift to the normal customer that walk in the door.

The one advantages is the piano will have a few tunings in the show room and will be quite stable compared to a few month old piano.
