Potential improvement to upright piano action

I came across this video by accident.

Are these relatively new ideas for 'improving' an upright piano action and could they be fitted retrospectively ?

The extra jack spring is not new seen it on some old German pianos and collard and collard pianos. However, the damper slap one is and looks interesting. Yes it can be retro fitted to most tall pianos that have a Jack and damper slap rail.

The Steingraber upright piano uses magnets to achieve the same goals as the extra spring on the Jack, they use a modified Yamaha action, However, they are now working with Renner on a new action. Spent a few days at the factory last June and it as quite impressive but out of the pocket for most
