Visiting Sauter Piano in Germany

Post by gbmc »

I had the wonderful opportunity of touring through the factory in Spaichingen, Germany. On http://PianoPricePoint.com you can read a blog about what their pianos are like. Coming soon, we'll be featuring this factory in a 360 degree virtual tour!

The blog is located here: http://pianopricepoint.com/sauter-piano ... n-germany/

Enjoy!

I have only one regret regarding my purchase of a new Sauter piano in 2008. That is not having done a factory tour at the time, or unfortunately since. The fact that I didn't choose my actual personal piano, doesn't trouble me, but one day I must try and make that factory visit just for the experience.
There was in fact a detailed factory visit with excellent photos posted on another dedicated site a year or two ago, which gave me great satisfaction.
Interestingly enough my local tuner/tech is not affiliated with Sauter (he's the S&S agent); he was familiar with the name, but had had no hands-on experience with them. On each visit since he never fails to say how delightful it is, and who am I to argue.
I was playing the piano in a zoo, when the elephant burst into tears. I said, "Don't you recognize the tune?" He replied, "No, I recognize the ivories!"
