K500 anyone

Post by bartgovaert »

Has anyone played the newish Kawai K500? I need to upgrade our current piano (Kawai K2) and I generally like the Kawai sound/action.

If you have played on of them, would you recommend? Are they a clear improvement on the K3/K5?

I am planning to play around a bit at Jaques Samuel but I have not had the time yet.

Thanks

Bart

According to Kawai information, the K-500 has a newly redesigned scale and the full Millenium III action. As pianos are variable, even within the same make and model, I think that your best option is to try them at Jaques Samuels and decide for yourself. Kawai have an excellent reputation for consistent quality and customer support.

Regards,

Robert.
I love the piano and its music.

Vernon, I am in London. A store (outside London) has offered me a part exchange: K500 for 4.5k + the K2 (which is in quite good shape). It seems like a good deal but still quite a bit of money. I have tried to sell the K2 myself but no luck.
