Urgently need information about Calisia Polish piano

Post by Das Panther »

This is my Calisia upright piano, and I'm thinking of selling it. The trouble is that I have no idea when it was made, or what type it is. I have pictures of the serial numbers attached.

Re: Urgently need information about Calisia Polish piano

The last few numbers are not very clear due to the rough casting of the iron frame..... but if the number reads 105501 ? and if this is the correct serial number, my serial number book for Calisia suggests the year 1984..... which would be about right for these pianos. They were popular in the 1970s and 1980s.

The serial number may also be duplicated somewhere near the tuning pins..... open the top lid, or remove the front panel.

The design is over strung stringing, and will have an under damped mechanism, and likely to be a console upright piano, but we will need to see a complete image of the piano with all the panels on, lid left open to confirm this.

Hope that helps
