Carl Ecke, Berlin Upright piano

Dear Team
Any chance you can let me know if you think this piano which was my grandmother's and in the family for an unknown number of years is possible to date?
It has a number inside the left panel and two medallions inside the top lid.
I have read some of your other forums to try and get some advice.

I think this is probably a case where you have found one number and assumed that it is the serial number. Most pianos have several numbers inside, as explained on my Numbers page

I would guess this piano was made around 1903, so it should have a number something like 17,000.

Another approach is to get your tuner to remove the action (the working parts of the action| and see if it is marked on the back with the action makers' name and number, which I may be able to date.
