My grandmother has a John Spencer & Co upright piano serial 51173. Does anyone know the age of this piano along with any history.

but with Spencer it is usually straightforward, and if you open the top and see 51173 this suggests that it was made in 1908. If you can post photos here to show what the whole piano looks like, this may help.
