If the year 1898 is stamped somewhere, this will almost certainly NOT be the year of manufacture.
the serial number is:147711
1896 and an autograph underneath
so putting a date on it was relativly easy now getting more info about carl ecke pianos!!
i dont get it at all with the freakin attachments i cant press a button and select my image?
it took me over an hour before i scrolled down a bit and saw upload attachment....... i just couldn't figure out how to upload a picture.... and now i found out there is a max of 2 mb my pictures are 3.2 mb so.....
The first rule is to ignore anything handwritten, especially if it is done with a biro. It may be the correct year, but it is not original. If your tuner feels it is safe to remove the action, it may be marked on the rear with the action makers' name and number, and I may be able to date this.
