Ritmuller - age / history of brand?

Post by Louisa11 »

Hello, I found two numbers...

21275 on the inside of the rosewood case
or
108315 on the iron frame

Not sure which is the serial?

Any info gratefully received.

Thanks

21275 would suggest 1909, the other one doesn't line up with available information. Relying purely on numbers is not always a good idea, and photos of the whole piano would help us to decide if 1909 is likely. They claimed to have been established in 1795.

Ask your tuner to look on the rear of the action, to see if it is marked with the action makers' name and number.
