Post by mover »

Hi
I am looking for informatio on a Jarrett & Goudge, it has the number 9943 in
3 different place on the piano. I am wondering how old it is and when it was
imported into New Zealand, or who woild have this information.

The published dates of Jarrett & Goudge numbers are incorrect, as explained at
http://pianogen.org/numbers.html

My guess would be about 1913, can you post photos of the whole piano here, or email them to me?

There are no archives surviving to tell us anything, your only hope is a shipping line or an importer at your end. Old newspapers sometimes mention specifics like this.

Any further clues are inside the piano, see
