Warsaw concerto

Post by chrisw »

I have two versions of the Warsaw Concerto. The first is known as the 'theme' and is marked Richard Addinsell. The second is a piano solo version arranged from original score by Henry Geehl. Does anybody know if Geehl worked from the orchestral score by Roy Douglas or something direct from Addinsell. ?

I am wondering which of my two versions is nearest to the original Addinsell.

Most of Geehl's arrangements were really very good, but I'm afraid I don't know the source. I believe there';s a 'Music Minus One' CD which would entail you learning the real thing!
I play for my own amazement... :piano;
