That's the spirit. For now, just enjoy the [almost] magical sound that comes out when you press the keys. In order to enjoy that it doesn't matter if you're playing the Rach 3 or a C Major scale. The experience is the same.... WOW!

Pianos are fun until you play to please other people. Just play for your own relaxation and ambition. Ignore what others think and, more importantly, ignore what you THINK other people think. If you follow

Missed talking to Gill too
Dave, I think that you got so focussed on sitting and passing piano exams that you lost sight of why you wanted to learn in the first place. Play what you want to play, when you want to play it and have fun!

hey hey!! Not been online for a while!
Yes am doing grade 4 Brummers and coming along nicely now (apart from trying to get the first part of minuet in G by Beethoven to sound nice and smooth lol!) practice makes perfect! Im doing a part time course in college which ends in May, once thats over with, the piano is having my full undivided attention and I will perfect it!
Hows things with you? Hope Mrs Brum is ok! Hows your piano playing? x

Sounds like you had a fab holiday then Brummers lol!
Im off on holiday 2 wks Sat, we're going to Egypt, off to Sharm for a week of relaxation, although we've had a bit of a mare, first there was the man eating shark, then the riots, then we were told that our hotel that we had booked wasnt going to be ready in time so they had to move us to a different one! And then last week that Thomson plane to Sharm ended up in Athens after a bomb scare! (and of course we're flying with Thomson) Im sure someone upstairs is telling me not to go!
Ah well, Im sure we'll have a fab time.

Anyone off anywhere nice on hols this year? x
