Lost interest in piano? I couldn't imagine ever losing interest in mine! I love playing so much! I'm finally learning it properly and really motivated to see it through as far as I can!

markymark wrote:Well if your going to be petty and argumentative about it dave (i can't believe you went dredging back to the first couple of posts ever posted on the Piano Lounge), you'll notice that we were talking about the launch of the Piano Lounge and not launch of the 'Idle chit-chatterers' corner'.

The reason I mention the point is that no new members are going to want to be bothered wading through 13 pages of chat just to get to know other members, which is primarily why the Piano Lounge exists. In a thread the length of Idle chit-chatterers' corner, the previous 8 or 9 pages are ignorable because the topics are constantly changing which in turn, makes it harder for new folks to comment on earlier comments or discussions.

It's a practical point. If you have problems with what I am saying dave, feel free to send me a PM but I'm not going to have some exchange of wits over it for others to read.

I can say I'm one of them. I can't be bothered to read more than 2 pages worth of threads that I HAVEN'T been involved with from the start.

Much better to have individual threads for different topics instead of lumping it under one heading of chit chat or any other name. So much easier to scan a list of thread topics.
