Not too busy on a Friday morning

While things aren't too hectic, here at work, we've been discussing recent news, including the pilot scheme to provide heroin addicts with heroin on the NHS.

My proposal is that we solve the drug related crime problem in this country, the far reaching influence and associated dangers of the Taliban, the poverty in Afghanistan, the reluctance of Afghans to cooperate with the West and our involvement in an expensive (in more ways than one) and probably futile war, as well as getting involved in a lucrative import/export market:

Fairtrade Heroin. :D

Just to keep it musical, it will also free up all those resistance fighters to pursue more cultural activities such as reviving the local music scene, which must have suffered under the Taliban.

Imagine funding an addiction using tax payers' money!

I mean, some families can hardly afford to eat and the government want to supply drugs to addicts! Next thing you'll be seeing yet another one of those "Dad's Army" supermarket price war advertisements between government and the black market!

And I suppose all the sex offenders in the country are going to get a similar treatment for their addictive/compulsive behaviour?
