Strictly Come Dancing 2009

I know it's a bit early to start talking about Autumn shows but did anyone else hear about Sharon Osbourne signing up to be a contestant in Strictly Come Dancing?

I don't think she could have given Simon Cowell a bigger and more humiliating V-sign than this! X-factor will have no chance of beating Strictly in the ratings no matter which special guests he tries to bring on the show.

I've always believed that Simon made big mistake letting Danni Minogue get the upper hand on Sharon!

I would have thought that Aleesha Dixon would have made a better guest judge and let someone who actually knows what they are doing judge full time!

That is so stupid!!! :x

Darcey Bussell would have been a different "flavour" to the panel and she has more personal dance experience that the other judges.

Did anyone see the daily papers today? Aleesha Dixon is plastered across the front saying that she is "here to stay" in the midst of huge criticism about her presence and performance on the judging panel.

Can't say this surprises me. We all saw this coming!

Well "media storm" is probably putting too fine a point on it but all the dailys had it on their front pages!

I was looking at the news tonight where Justin Lee Collins was criticising Bruce's role in the show. There was a clip with the the four judges on the panel with Arleen in her place and you know what? The panel looked 'right'. It was just complete and looked right.

Alesha has to go! She's an afront and discredit to the judging panel. Heck, I could sit on a judging panel and make more meaningful comments and I have never danced! Anyone can say "sound job" or "you nailed it"! It's more embarrassing when the other three experienced and knowledgeable judges who know what they are talking about contradict her.

By the way, did you hear the Sharon Osbourne and Richard Madeley pulled out of their initial plans to join the competition because they weren't getting paid enough?

Yeah but I don't think Brendan did himself any favours doing that. It certainly didn't bother Craig at all and just made him look like a bigger twit!

I thought that Brendan and Jo should have been in the dance off!

Not sure if Jamie was miming or not because the piano definitely getting a hammering. You could see it moving while being played. Unless the piano is dud of course!

Rav Wilding and Aliona Vilani said goodbye last night! He's a nice guy and she's a great and gorgeous-looking dancer but they were definitely the weakest couple in the dance-off. I'm still amazed how Chris Hollins made it with the lowest judges' score. I didn't think he was a big hit with the general public.
