Re: Comparing Trills on Grands and Uprights.

When I play a grand piano, often but not always, I would find the action slightly heavier than that of an upright. Basically, it's down to finger strength and versatility. People who learn on a digital piano and then move to an acoustic piano will arrive at a similar issue. As their fingers have bec...

As far as having to start from the beginning of a piece is concerned, you ought to be able to find a phrase or a part that just precedes the bit you got stuck at. Starting at the beginning of a bar in the middle of a piece or at the point where you went wrong, more often than not, won't start you at...

I thought the piece went well - did you play it on a digital piano or an acoustic. It seemed like you were hammering out the sound at key-level but there was no clear distinction between the dynamics. Again, it was probably the bad sound quality that was to blame for that.

Good job! 8)

I enjoyed listening to that. An external amp will disappoint you! You need to look out for a stereo-powered speakers (as in Left and Right split - not radio speakers) in order to get a full sound. A guitar amp has a more mid and upper level and virtually not bass, at least not one capable of carrying the bass of a keyboard. It ...

Kawai is very rare over here so I can't really comment but I have heard the sound samples from Kawai over the years.
