Re: P95 Delivery delayed

Well, it arrived today and it was HUGE. The box is seriously big and heavy. Because I paid on a card, they could only deliver to my billing address, 46 miles away from my University room. So I rushed back to Manchester and waited for delivery. If the box wasn't too heavy, I was going to take it on t...

Re: P95 Delivery delayed

Hi folks May I, firstly, say 'hello'. This is my first post here. I have recently started piano lessons again, 50yrs on from having got to Grade 3 as a child, so a lot of re-learning to do, having only a little (5 octave, very light touch) Casio keyboard at the moment! May I ask Paddy what he liked...

Re: P95 Delivery delayed

Seriously, this weekend has turned into a nightmare for digital pianos. Had arranged for P95 to be delivered Tuesday, turns out it is a display model, so not having that. After MUCH toing and foing, I'm 90% settled on a Yamaha YDP161, which has the better feel apparently. I'll update you all when/if...

Re: P95 Delivery delayed

Sorry, should have said! It's a Yamaha P95 digital piano.
I've managed to find a local Yamaha dealer who can deliver one on Tuesday, so I'm back to being happy again. :D

P95 Delivery delayed

I've just been sent an email from the shop I bought my P95 from, they have none in stock (although this was not what their website said) and they'll be getting a delivery of them in 'around the end of April'. I can't wait that long! But, it does seem standard practice as almost every site I go to ha...

Re: When did you start learning?

Well done...keep practising hard and you'll be fine! Lots of adult beginners here and they seem to work twice as hard as the kids do, with great results.Keep us posted as to your progress. Thanks! I'm pretty good with hitting my own targets. The way I've structured my week is as follows: Half hour ...

Re: The best time to learn piano

Personally I think that when you've wanted to play for a few years, and you start to hear the piano in every song you listen to, you have more of an appreciation of it, especially as you get a little older.
I'm 20 and just restarting again, I feel that now I am better suited to tackle it.

Re: When did you start learning?

I started playing at 17, then my only keyboard died + college so stopped. I'm now 20 at University and have just ordered a P95 keyboard, got my piano teacher sorted. My target is to hit grade 2 by December this year, and be able to play Christmas songs for my family. So technically, I start playing ...

Beginner with P95

Hello Everyone, I'm a nearly a beginner with pianos. A few years ago I had around 6 months of lessons, until my keyboard died (£80 christmas present) and as a school student, couldn't afford a replacement. I've always loved the sound of the piano, it is by far my favourite instrument and I'm relativ...
