I've not been around for a while, but congratulations Dave. Sadly I've slipped with regards to my Piano, not had lessons for the last month or so due to a combination of illnesses for all the family. Hope to start up again early Jan. I need to do a lot of practice again.

So an Analogue Piano sounds better than a digital Piano. You know it probably does, but I have no room for an Analogue Piano, also as pointed out before a digital is silent with headphones. Most people seem to be getting over it quite fast. My Daughter had it last week, and think my wife and myself have had symptoms for week since. Seems to be all clearing up now. Maybe I can get on with practising my piano again (not really had the concentration levels for it)

Nothing for this week as I had to miss the lesson cos I wasn't feeling great also was in a meeting as well. Anyway a break for few weeks as Jo is getting married (today I think) and off for her honeymoon. So congrats to my teacher Jo, and the 3 week break will give me time to practice :)

Sounds good Dave, I'm still miles behind but enjoying making some form of music. Jo is happy with my current work rate. I do tend to look ahead in the book and think how the hell can I play that. I'm now at a stage where I looked previously and now know I can play it.

Bad neck/shoulder cleared in time. However bad back developed during the lesson :? Still only one thing to try this week, currently it sounds very crap, so I give it miss tonight and try tomorrow.

Good luck with the performance Dave. I struggle to play in front of an audience of one at the moment, so wouldn't contemplate any more than that. (unless I was Guinness powered I suppose).

Which Library did you visit? I noticed today that the Central Library has a Digital Piano for people to try (with headphones) - it's a bit battered, but seems o.k. Sounds like a good day, I ended up in Warwick with the family consuming lots of unhealthy crisps, rolls, chocolate and Ice cream. Ended the day watching Villa relegating Newcastle (on MoTD), whilst I was drinking Newcastle brown ale. So both the team and ale went down today!

I cancelled the 2nd lesson due to work commitments, but Jo is fine. Rearranged to next Thursday instead. Anyway, think I've cracked the 2 small pieces I was reading from the book. However co-ordination has disappeared tonight, that's probably due to the bunged up nose and the 1/2 bottle of red.

Only 50 off!

The number 11 is fairly close as it stops at the Yew Tree. About a 15 minute walk from there. She normally teaches from 1700-1800 and at weekends.
