Re: Adult Learners: What stage are you at and after how long?

Nice, quick question - how often do you need to get your piano retuned?

Any good websites for basic Theory learning

Just wondering if there are any online tests / teaching tools for basic theory learning?

I was looking at BBC Bitesize for music - and using that as an example I'm looking for something much more comprehensive.

Are there any such websites?

Regards,

Re: Adult Learners: What stage are you at and after how long?

Some really great replies in here. Well, I've just had another lesson - and finally got a keyboard to practice on (the NP30) which I'm actually really impressed with. Although there is an obvious difference between it and the 'real' acoustic! I've started on the left hand for the first time, and sta...

Adult Learners: What stage are you at and after how long?

Hey Everyone, I'm just trying to get a handle on adult learning, like I said in my previous post, I'm 25 and I've only just started taking lessons, after never having played an instrument before. I'm just curious what age some of you guys are and how long you've been playing, as well as how you've f...

Re: Newbie unsure and about to commit to an instrument!

Thanks to everyone here - Weighing up all the pro's and con's I've gone with the NP30 and just to clarify why: I'm pre-grade 1 - I'm still very new to this and need to acclimatise myself with basic music theory and recognizing the layout and coordination on a basic full sized piano keyboard. I'm als...

Re: Newbie unsure and about to commit to an instrument!

Brilliant quick response. With a budget of 150 - 200£ can anyone recommend me an instrument then? I'm assuming my 'middle of the road' NP30 might be a good starting point?

Newbie unsure and about to commit to an instrument!

Hello! I'm sure you get blow-in's around these parts regularly, and I'm sorry if this question has been asked before. But I started taking piano lessons a couple of weeks ago now, and by the teachers recommendation I didn't commit to buying an instrument before seeing whether or not I was comfortabl...
