Iain Cowden An accomplished pianist and singer with a leaning towards musical theatre, I am happy to play for any event. I have an inate ability to play anything I have heard and am happy to work with or without music and guidance! I usually invite the booker to give me a list of artists and / or songs that they might like to hear, and I can then tailor my repertiore to their tastes. I have access to a huge repertiore of musical theatre and a fair repertoir of swing, jazz and pop. i work as a musical director and spent my formative years playing piano in a big band. I am thus equally happy accompany groups, arranging music or writing songs. I am happy to sing as well as play and have a strong baritone crooners voice, although (thanks to excellent classical training!) I can turn my hand to opera and oratorio as easily as musical theatre and sinatraMy rates are reasonable and I have my own very high quality gear if none is available at the venue (full size Korg Triton Extreme with twin Tannoy Studio Amps). |
