Stephen Goldwater I am a solo pianist specialising in background music for hotels, restaurants and private receptions. London venues have included Burgh House, Lauderdale House, the Connaught Rooms, the Athenaeum, the National Film Theatre, Woburn Abbey and many private houses. I have accompanied diners at a number of restaurants including the Belvedere in Holland Park, San Carlo in Highgate, L'Incontro in Chelsea and Au Bois St Jean in St John's Wood. Repertoire: Gershwin, Cole Porter, songs from musicals, piano standards. Style: sophisticated background piano which can be quiet and refletive or up-tempo, sensitively played so that the music does not obscure conversation. Ideal for a reception, drinks party or during dinner; the sound of a piano in the background produces a relaxed and elegant atmosphere which guests remember.
