David Wilson BA (Hons) Music Degree, dipABRSM in Piano Performance



I have a BA (Hons) Music Degree from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). I originally studied in Harrogate where I achieved a distinction in Grade 8 piano aged 14 followed by my dipABRSM in Piano Performance. I also have Grade 8 in music theory and singing. I specialise in Musical Theatre and Pop music and have directed musicals including 'Closer Than Ever' (2008), 'A Chorus Line' (2007), 'Nine' (2007) and 'Grease' (2005). I have been employed by LIPA since 2008 as an official accompanist for music, acting and dance auditions as well as an accompanist for musical theatre and acting through song classes. I have extensive experience accompanying instrumentalists, choirs and solo singers for exams, performances and audition practice. I am also a prolific songwriter and have delivered songwriting workshops in many local schools.
