Barbara Manning, ARCM LRAM ARCM and LRAM diplomas; 'A' level music, Grade A

I trained in the late 1970's with Phyllis Sellick and (for accompaniment) Hubert Dawkes at the Royal College of Music, where I was awarded the Borwick Prize, and since then have built up a considerable reputation as a piano accompanist in many spheres, mainly classical but also for shows and Scottish dance music. I accompany choral and operatic ensembles as well as vocal and instrumental soloists, and will consider anything from concert work to exams to rehearsal. My engagements have taken me to many parts of the UK and abroad. I am an excellent sight reader, and I also play the organ and am therefore in demand to play for church ceremonies of every kind.

As well as accompanying, I have given numerous solo recitals and performed several concertos with the Maltings Sinfonia of Ware and the Dulwich Symphony Orchestra. Besides my ARCM diplomas in piano performing and teaching, I also hold an LRAM diploma in violin performing.
