Matthew Rickard BMus (Hons) PGDip LRAM



Matthew studied music at the Univeristy of Surrey and then pursued his postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music where he specialised in piano accompaniment. His teachers have included Clive Williamson, Michael Dussek & Graeme Humphrey.

Since leaving the Academy Matthew has worked as a freelance accompanist, chamber musician and orchestral pianist. He has broadcast live on Radio 3 and worked with many groups, including the CBSO, Moscow City Ballet, Thursford Christmas Spectacular, Royal Free Music Society, Rushmoor Choir and Almaviva Opera. Recently he has performed at the English Music Festival, and at venues in Cambridge, Durham and Windsor. Future plans include concerts in Dublin and Birmingham, and he will be recording a disc of Violin and Piano music for EM Records in the Summer.

Matthew is available as an accompanist for exams, auditions, rehearsals and recitals.
