Born from a very musical family, Scott started playing the piano at the age of 4, under the eminent and watchful eyes of Mrs. Margaret Poucher. He attained Grade 8 with Distinction during his early teenage years and has since participated in many local, national and global music festivals and competitions, of which many, he was awarded 1st prize.
By the age of eight Scott began to broaden his musical horizons, deciding to study the clarinet, closely followed by the flute, saxophone and violin. He successfully achieved a further two Grade 8’s before leaving Secondary School.
In late 2004, Scott began preparing for his first Diploma in Music Performance (Clarinet) with The Trinity Guildhall College of Music which was passed with flying colours in early 2005. He is currently working on new repertoire to undertake a further diploma with the college.
Since completing his diploma in music performance, Scott has now set up his own Music School in the town of Barnsley, in which he teaches Piano, Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone, Violin and Theory of Music. He is also a well-known accompanist and recitalist in the area.
In the little spare time Scott has, he focuses his energies on performing. He is part of a well-known Symphonic Orchestra playing 1st Clarinet with opportunities taking him around the globe.
