Sensitive pianist/organist with 30+ years' practical experience accompanying sacred, chamber and showtune repertoire with students, amateurs and professionals.
Lead repetiteur & pit-pianist to Abingdon Operatic Society since 1996 and Wantage Choral Society since 2008, experienced choral director and choirmaster; has played (briefly!) for royalty.
A former serial winner of the Godalming Music Festival accompaniment class, in 1997 he gained the Archbishops' Certificate of the Guild of Church Musicians through self-directed private study.
In his musical and 'daytime' academic tutor capacities, Ian has Enhanced CRB clearance and a particular empathy with student musicians, but will willingly work with all ages and levels.
